ABOUT the  SAILING FOUNDATION

SYC Sailing Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization with the mission to facilitate opportunities to experience sailing in Long Beach, California. With Long Beach and Shoreline Marina as the homeport for our Fleet, we believe that our mission can be a positive influence on youth and adults in the area and we are asking for your help. The Foundation owns, maintains and charters a matched fleet of eight sailboats (Cal20s) that are used in outreach and educational programs for youth and adults. The goal in these efforts is to encourage participation in local and national nautical activities. Although these boats were originally designed and built in Southern California in the 1960s, our fleet has been restored, upgraded and maintained by volunteers in the SYC Sailing Foundation
