SYC Members interested in learning more about SYC's racing program are welcome to attend Race Management Committee meetings held first Thursday of each month at 7pm in the Education Room.

Sailboat racing is a long standing tradition at Shoreline Yacht Club. We run a full calendar of club and interclub races with both PHRF and One Design Classes. Our calendar includes the “There and Back” race to Avalon over two days, “Queen Mary Regatta” from Redondo Beach to Long Beach, practice starts in the “Start Your Heart Out” race, four races in the Long Beach Harbor Series, Fun Club races, One Design Racing on the fleet of Cal 20s which includes 4 months of Taco Tuesday racing that is open to all levels of sailors. And our Flagship race – Long Beach to Dana Point – which attracts upwards of 60 boats.

SYC also hosts an active fleet of Radio Control Sailboats that get together to practice and race. Three are owned by the club and are available for use by members.
